Riordan is making huge strides in the healthcare industry and is a fortune 1000 company.

- The website itself is very flat and most if not all the information
must be obtained from the Intranet. There is very little information
available from the home page. It is hard to tell if this site is for
e-commerce or just informational. There are some best practices that
should be followed. I will focus on Technology, Organization, and
Aesthetics. I will list a best practice for then and offer suggestion on
how the company can follow the best practice. First we need a general
purpose for the site which will be an informational site. Purpose

company, inform prospective buyers, and a place for the general public
to get to know the company and products offered. This will be an
informational site that will be driven on content more so then flashy
graphics.
Organization

Best
practice is to have the site organized so a person visiting for the
first time can find their way around.. Easy to follow links, and like
information grouped together that “ makes since” to a visitor.
Riordan has contact information using up to much space. It is impossible
to find much information off the internet without going into the
intranet.
My suggestion would be to have a hierarchical ordering
system of the web pages that will be accessible via links off of the
front page. On the top left hand corner there should be a link to a
contact us, company bio, products’ and services, and locations and of
course a search feature.
